Levelized Billing takes the surprise out of opening your monthly electric bill. Under this program, your monthly electric payment is an average of your electric usage for the past twelve months. Your monthly payment is re-averaged once per year. With levelized billing it's easier to budget your monthly electric costs. It will eliminate extremely high bills due to very cold or hot weather, since your bills are averaged to determine your monthly payment. To be eligible for levelized billing you must:

Have twelve months billing history at the same service location. Have a good credit record with no disconnects or returned checks. Keep your account current.

Levelized billing is free for Coastal Electric Cooperative members. There are no sign-up charges or monthly fees, and your bill will still show your actual electric usage each month. All you need to do is keep your account current.

The only time you have to reconcile your account is when you leave the Coastal Electric system, decide you no longer want to participate in the program, or if you fail to continue to meet the eligibility requirements.

With Credit Card Draft you can use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Card to take advantage of Coastal Electric's credit card draft. This program will allow you to pay your electric bill in much the same way that our bank draft program works. For more information, please contact our office.

The Bankdraft program from Coastal Electric Cooperative makes paying your electric bill easier than ever. When you sign up for bank draft, Coastal Electric will automatically draft your checking or savings account for the amount of your monthly bill. You will still receive monthly billing statements showing your kilowatt usage and the amount due, but you won't have to remember to pay your bill. It is drafted around the same time each month.
